Hi Everyone !
What a ride 2016 has been. It's hard to believe it's almost twelve months since we cut the chain to celebrate the opening of our new shop. The year has gone so quickly and so much has happened. We are really starting to feel at home in our new facility, ironing out all the little problems with such a big move. I really hope that everybody is enjoying the new home of Great Southern Motorcycles as much as we are. We have received really positive comment's on the design and layout of the store, from local's to international travelers which is fantastic. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you our customers for your loyal support. It's through this support you have enabled me to fuel my passion for motorcycling and given me the drive to build such a wonderful facility for the Great Southern of Western Australia and motorcyclist's Australia wide.

2016 DUCATI CELEBRATED IT'S 90TH ANNIVERSARY
What a great year it's been for Ducati in so many way's. They celebrated their 90th anniversary in style at World Ducati week in Misano Italy in front of record crowds. Their passion and continued efforts in MotoGP racing saw them return to the podium multiple times, including a Ducati 1-2 at the Red bull ring in Austria. Their commitment to the sport also saw them sign 2015 World Champion Lorenzo to ride for Ducati in 2017. Not to mention the multiple new award winning models they brought to the market in 2016 including the industry first full carbon fibre constructed 1299 Superleggera. Ducati officially lists the 1299 Superleggera as making 215hp and weighing 156kg dry, though with the installation of the included race kit that peak horsepower figure pops to 220hp, while the dry weight drops to a near-nothing 150kg. We are excited about what Ducati will bring in 2017 - stay tuned.

Shellee has recently joined our team as Finance and Insurance Business Manager. Shellee and her partner Jason have recently relocated from Perth to Albany to take up this exciting opportunity at Great Southern Motorcycles. Shellee bring's with her a wealth of experience in customer service, having spent the last fourteen years of her working life managing large air freight accounts for Toll Logistic's. Shellee has a fantastic can do attitude with nothing being too much trouble. An avid motorcyclist herself you will see Shellee out on the showroom floor helping with parts and accessories, as she enjoy's giving advice on the right riding gear for you. Shellee currently rides a Harley-Davidson Sportster 48. Please help us make Shellee welcome by saying g'day next time you call up or drop in.
Polaris founder passes
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to Polaris co-founder David Johnson who passed away in 2016 at 93. Thank you David for truly teaching us all what it means to live the riding experience. May you forever Ride in Peace.
In tribute to David, Polaris had another stellar year globally. growing in most categories in a tough market. Polaris have become the world leader in power sports product's and have a diverse range of products as pictured below. 2017 is sure to see Polaris bring more industry leading product to our market.
